The “Who is the Bring Birth Home Community?” Q&A Project we ran yesterday was so much fun!
It was so great to see so much participation and interaction.
Even though it wasn’t necessary to comment, (as each question asked to simply click “like”) the conversations going on were just incredible. THAT is what community is all about!
Without further ado, here are the results:
Out of 5,881 community members…
85 women are not pregnant, but interested in learning more about giving birth at home in the future.
160 are currently pregnant and planning a home birth!
518 of you gave birth at home!
213 gave birth to their first child at home!
164 people have given birth at home more than once!
61 had a HBAC (home birth after cesarean)!
282 women gave birth in water at home!
229 were blessed to have their children present during their home birth.
155 partner’s caught baby at home!
102 women gave birth at home unassisted.
16 reported they gave birth to breech babies at home!
5 gave birth to twins at home!
14 strong single mamas chose home birth!
8 women gave birth at home while their significant other was deployed!
20 planned a home birth but transferred to the hospital to give birth.
317 within the BBH Community were inspired to become a doula, midwife, childbirth instructor of home birth activist in general!
This project is far from over.
The questions aren’t going anywhere. I will update the growing numbers every Tuesday morning. Go to the original post, Who is the BBH Community? Project and click on the links provided to participate!
