I Love My Natural, SAHM, Family Oriented, Home Birthing Life!

9 Comments 04 March 2011

The past month has been a little rough for me.

(read my most recent post, “I Will Give Birth at Home. Even if I Don’t Have a House” to understand why)

But suddenly, the shift occurred and it began to rain rather than snow.

I’m so ready for Spring. We’ve had such a snowy winter!

We also got the phone call we were waiting for and will be moving into our new (rental) house on April 1st. The stress is literally GONE. Yippee!

I am now able to revise and align my birthing vision with the new space we’ll be inhabiting.

(thanks again for all your well-wishes & positive vibes!)

Although we’re not expecting baby to come until late June or early July, I am already feeling the strong urge to nest.

Today, while making soup, I had this thought:

I love my life.

I love being a housewife, or better yet, a Domestic Goddess. This is my house, my family, my decor and my mess.

I love cooking. Man oh man do I ever! Thanks so much Grandma for teaching me both through example and your most delicious Italian recipes.

I love being a stay at home mom. I am grateful to be home with my daughter every single day. And I’m really glad I don’t have to work!

I love how much support I have from my family, friends and wonderful community for my upcoming home birth.

I love knowing we have a new home to move into (with a yard!). I am ready to begin the journey in this new chapter of our lives as a strong family.

I love my midwife & my doula.

I love that my beautiful partner Eric works from home. He’s sitting across the room from me on the couch working on his computer. We occasionally share sweet glances.

Speaking of support and family…how lucky am I that my mom, mother-in-law and grandmother help me out SO darn much by taking Ella during the week? The routine is so healthy for Ella and I, and I can actually get some things done for BBH and around the house! This will come in SO handy when the new baby comes.

I am truly blessed.

That is all. I just wanted to share in my excitement. Leave a comment below if you love your life too!

Right there with ya my fellow DG! Sometimes it’s hard to find the words to express how fortunate I feel to be at home with my daughter and not at work. Sometimes I just look at my husband and say “thank you.” And hope he can really feel how VERY much I mean it. Life is just amazing. :) *endorphin surge!*

I love mine too. I am not able to be a SAHM, but feel very blessed that my husband is a SAHD to be there day in and day out with our children. Even not being home all week with the kiddos, I love doing all the homey house stuff too (evenings and weekends)–I even enjoy doing laundry & dishes and taking care of that kind of stuff for everyone. It’s a beautiful thing to be able to care for the family you love in many ways.

I loved this! It is sometimes hard to remember during all the day to day stuff, especially hard times, how much we truly love our lives.
I am so blessed to be able to stay home with my 3 year old! I am so blessed that I learned about homebirth and had one with her, and God willing, all those that follow (we are ttc now).
And even though we lived in a cramped apartment, and my hubby is laid off from his job, and am blessed and loving all this time we get to spend together! He starts a new job (works construction) later this month and I miss him when he works 12 hour days! This time in our lives is precious.

Thanks for such an uplifting message today. Glad I happened by here. Love to all of you.

I am a Wahm and I too am so happy to be able to be home and watch my children blossom.

What I love about your post is the reminder to live in the present and enjoy what we have now.

    Thank you!

I do have my children to thank for their help turning compost, building soil and keeping love and hearth with me. My vision from age 20 onward was for family life of home grown food, health, healthcare, education, love and spirit. Mostly successful. And I am thankful to God for a husband who mostly kept the roof over our heads. It takes order. ~~Consider the expectation that jigsaw puzzle pieces (bigbanging out)in explosion out of a cannon could order it’s pieces together into a finished puzzle. So Home Comfort – growing family successfully together – takes thought, design, and ordering! May all families be blessed in their efforts! Make best use of the means you have and enjoy (by all means) what you have. Contentment and vision-
    both serve well.
