The Beginning

5 Comments 18 November 2009

My daughter, Ella Rose, was born at home on Febuary 4th, 2009. Ever since, I have been an advocate of planned home-birth for low risk women.

I realize that home birth is not for everyone.

I strongly believe in, and encourage informed birth. I believe that every child deserves to be brought into this world the way nature intended, without labor enhancing drugs, pain medications or other interventions unless absolutely necessary.

I hope each mother may know the raw power of her body, trust her intuition, and live the many life-long rewards of natural childbirth.

Bring Birth Home is an educational resource.

Whether you are looking into home birth or natural birth, it is here that you can learn more about the processes of each, the roles of safety and responsibility, and how to “own” your birth.

Read through the birth stories. Gaze thoughtfully over the birth art. Tear up watching the videos (I do every time). I hope when you have explored this site, you are filled with positive and encouraging thoughts about the birth process.

  1. Just stopped by to congratulate you on your new site. Although I was not fortunate enough to experience a home birth with my two children, I certainly can appreciate how special it is.

Since alternative health is my passion and has been my work for the last 16 years, I search to stay informed on all issues that are health related. If ever I have a client looking to do a home birth, I will be sure to recommend a visit here.
